Our Policies : Protect
Art, Culture and Heritage
-
Address financial barriers for children wanting to participate in 'grass roots' art education in their communities. Local art communities are seen as being very important in increasing ‘social integration’ in our communities for strengthening ‘resilience’.
-
Build a dedicated National Art Gallery in Wellington. To showcase all visual art, from the beginnings through to modern day. Including art education centres and exhibition centres for hire.
-
Continue to build on New Zealand’s ‘Multi-cultural’ Society to preserve friendships, art, fashion and other culture.
-
Ensure our most valued heritage buildings are preserved, selected by public referenda.
