Communication
-
Referendum on the desireable amount (percentage) of non-English wording appearing in the Government media (Television and Radio).
-
Include all Government and all Local Government documentation.
-
Survey the public on their views of different languages blended in together rather than separate. Ascertain whether it is an effective education method.
-
Encourage the development of separate publications for each language, rather than blending the languages in together, running the risk of creating new dialects and failing in communication.
-
Expand to other languages (eg; Chinese, Indian…)
-
Correct the use of the word ‘Aotearoa’ to include the South Island
-
Namely; The Maori name for the North and South Island being ‘Aotearoa me Te Waipounamu’.
