Our Policies : Protect

Communication

  1. Referendum on the desireable amount (percentage) of non-English wording   appearing in the Government media (Television and Radio).

  2. Include all Government and all Local Government documentation.

  3. Survey the public on their views of different languages blended in together rather than separate. Ascertain whether it is an effective education method.

  4.  Encourage the development of separate publications for each language, rather than blending the languages in together, running the risk of creating new dialects and failing in communication.

  5. Expand to other languages (eg; Chinese, Indian…)

  6. Correct the use of the word ‘Aotearoa’ to include the South Island

  7. Namely; The Maori name for the North and South Island being ‘Aotearoa me Te Waipounamu’.
