Let Us Make a Change

Hi, I’m Kush Bhargava. I am a Mana resident living in Aotea with my family for over 13 years. I have international business experience managing many international companies and worked as an advisor to Govt. organisation. I have a piece of extensive knowledge of holistic health, green building, green procurement, and international trade. I have studied as a Naturopath, and have authored 22 books, Currently, I am serving as the CEO of Eco Green Homes Ltd. established in 2010 building affordable green homes throughout the country. I am actively involved with the community and other social activities.

My overall goal is to represent everyone in our electorate, treating them with respect through any decisions the govt. and I make. Below is how I plan on achieving this important objective. Firstly, I am committed to implementing policies that benefit first-home buyers, community safety and helping businesses.

I believe that everyone should have the ability to purchase an affordable eco-friendly home. I have previous experience as the CEO of The New Zealand Energy Forum and since 2010, I have been the CEO of Eco Green Homes. With my expertise and experience I plan to encourage the Government  to develop a plan for sustainable homes that can be purchased by first-home buyers. This will not only support those hoping to get on the property market but our environment as well. As the cost of living continues to rise for Wellingtonians, I am also in favor of lowering council rates and public transport fares.

I hope that these changes will leave people with more funds that can be used for more important purchases. It is very important to me that we protect the environment. As mentioned, I operate Eco Green Homes, but my passion for sustainably also reaches outside of my career. As someone who has a great love for nature and animals, I think that the govt. and local councils needs to start using more environmentally friendly practices and facilities around our city.

I am confident and qualified to use my international green procurement and carbon management experience to reduce the govt expenditure and make New Zealand a carbon-neutral country. Other policies I support are affordable food, community safety, building more homes to make renting affordable, investing in infrastructure, making games and sports more accessible for youth, offering better health and safety services, and providing more accessible services for elderly and disabled-special needs people, increase employment opportunities and help local businesses and employees.

I will also push for more transparency and accountability from the government. I would propose a digital platform, where people can log in with their real identities and express their ideas and opinions to local member of parliaments in a confidential manner, which can help them to make or change their policies and decisions based on public ideas and suggestions, not their own agendas.

This is just a brief overview of how I plan to make an impact as your representative. I would like to share a little bit more about me. I am a 48-year-old who, along with running a successful business, is a dedicated community worker, qualified naturopath, and published author. I am a real family man who has proudly lived in Porirua and Wellington region for the past 18 years with my wife and two daughters who are both studying.
