Local Government

1. Council spending to be reigned in. Infrastructure and core services to be identified and set at an acceptable expenditure level.  

2.  Non-core services to be agreed by ratepayer referendums. 

3.  All infrastructure and core services to be completed before non core services can be committed to. 

4. Robust business cases to be presented on all Council projects with expenditure. Include project scope, budget and timetable. 

5. Vanity and ideology projects to be scrapped. 

6. The Electoral Commission to manage all Local Body Elections in the same way that they manage the General Elections. No Council or outside organisations involvement.
