PPNZ strongly condemns attack on Richard Sigley's Remuera restaurant

Protect and Prosper New Zealand (PPNZ) has condemned the night-time attack on Sisso restaurant on Remuera Road in Auckland, stressing the need to divert young people away from crime and into alternative skills to prevent such incidents. Emphasis is given.

Last night an upmarket Remuera restaurant owned by a high-profile Auckland businessman was ransacked by a group of car-borne youths. Following the attack, police were called to Siso at 7.13 am. These youths were demanding liquor from the restaurant and when they were refused, they forcibly entered the restaurant along with the car and ransacked it and ran away after picking up the liquor boxes. The restaurant is owned by renowned businessman Richard Sigley and his wife Paula and opened in 2021 on the corner of Remuera Road and Norana Avenue. The incident has caused a stir across the country and a wide range of reactions to the aggressive youth. are coming to the fore.

Protect and Prosper New Zealand (PPNZ) top leader Martin Jenkins and party president Kush Bhargava strongly condemned the incident, saying such attacks were unacceptable. Such cases create a sense of insecurity in the society and our main objective is to create an atmosphere of security in the country. He said that to prevent such attacks, we have to focus on skill development of the youth to divert them from the path of crime. For this, it is necessary that we establish a better structure for the youth and work to improve their future on the basis of discipline. For this, we have to be serious and analyze the background of the youth and also monitor the border areas.
